A Team of Leading Prosthetists and Orthotists

Meet MCOP's prosthetics and orthotics specialists

Elliot Weintrob

MCOP President, Vice Chairman and co-founder of the Virginia Orthotic Prosthetic Association

Growing up in a family-run Orthotics and Prosthetics clinic, Elliot was exposed to the many aspects of the field. From a young age, he was drawn to both the technical and clinical elements of patient care. Elliot earned his bachelor’s in Political Science from University of Maryland before attending Northwestern University to obtain his Certification in orthotics and prosthetics. After completing his O & P course work in Chicago, Elliot then returned to Virginia where he became an ABC-certified clinician.

Elliot has now been working in the O & P industry since 1985; treating patients who range in age from 6 months to 95 years of age. For 10 years he consulted for Ossur, teaching prosthetic fitting techniques and component design to other practitioners throughout the country and abroad. With his dedication to the Metropolitan area, he has provided prosthetic care to Georgetown Hospital, Inova Hospital, and Virginia Hospital for over 25 years. He is committed to working with his patients from pre-surgical screening until they have returned to their desired level of activity.

As Director of MCOP Clinics in Virginia, Elliot is responsible for operations in both our Fairfax and Leesburg operations. Here he helps manage not only the patient care but also our onsite fabrication center in Fairfax. Elliot is looking forward to helping the company grow by continuing to provide the high level of care we are known for.
