MCOP Annapolis Amputee Awareness Picnic

September 20, 2024

A Day of Community and Connection

This past Saturday, the MCOP Annapolis team hosted an unforgettable Amputee Awareness Picnic at the beautiful Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating (CRAB) facility, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! The combination of perfect weather, an inspiring community, and a stunning venue made for a truly special event.

Celebrating Community and Resilience

It was heartwarming to see our patients, their families, and our dedicated staff come together, sharing stories, building friendships, and supporting one another. These moments of connection are what define the MCOP community, and events like this remind us why we’re so passionate about what we do. Witnessing the strength, resilience, and unity among our amputee community is something we hold close to our hearts.

An Accessible and Inclusive Venue

We were thrilled to host this year’s picnic at CRAB’s state-of-the-art facility, which offers barrier-free access for people of all abilities. The thoughtfully designed space ensures that everyone, regardless of mobility can fully enjoy the experience. From the open-air setting to the breathtaking waterfront views, the venue played a key role in making this day even more memorable.

Gratitude to All Who Made It Possible

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success. From our amazing patients who attended, to the dedicated MCOP staff who worked tirelessly, and of course, to CRAB for providing such an inclusive and accommodating space. None of this would have been possible without each and every one of you!

Looking Forward to More Opportunities to Connect

The Amputee Awareness Picnic was a reminder of how important community is to our work at MCOP. We’re excited to continue building these connections, fostering support, and making a difference in the lives of amputees and their families. Let’s keep creating moments that bring us together as a community!
