Our Story

A history of unparalleled prosthetic & orthotic care

The MCOP Story

Medical Center O&P was founded in 2002 by Mike Corcoran, CPO with a singular vision, to provide superior patient care and unparalleled service to each individual that we have the privilege to work with. Mr. Corcoran has worked with various sized prosthetic and orthotic companies, from publically traded organizations to small “mom and pop” companies.

His vision was to build a practice that consistently was at the forefront of the newest and best prosthetic and orthotic technologies. Additionally, he sought to construct a practice that was not so big that it would be beholden to a stock price or shareholders and not so small or single minded that we could not work outside the box.

Our goal is to give each patient individualized care thus allowing that person to maximize their potential. This vision has propelled MCOP both nationally and internationally to be a leader in the world of prosthetics and orthotics,  including arm and hand, bilateral, hip, and various other specialties.

Starting in 2005, MCOP honored to be selected as the exclusive contractor for lower extremity prosthetics serving our nations wounded warriors at Walter Reed. Over the years, we are proud to have provided hundreds of our nation’s heroes with the highest possible level of care. Our relationship with the Department of Defense and our wounded warriors continues to this day, because of the steadfast commitment and unmatched expertise of our team in serving battlefield injuries.
