MCOP Spotlighted in December’s O&P Almanac

January 8, 2020

MCOP’s Ian Fothergill Featured in O&P Almanac

We’re excited to announce that our very own Ian Fothergill was featured in the December edition of O&P Almanac, an industry-leading publication in prosthetics and orthotics space.

In the magazine’s multi-page cover story, titled “Team Building”, Ian discusses MCOP’s unique partnership model between orthotics/prosthetics and physical therapy and how the innovative approach has become instrumental in improving prosthetic outcomes for our clients. As Ian explains in the article, this partnership helps to ensure the long-term success of our clients in a multitude of ways.

Ian was proud to be featured alongside many industry leaders and knowledgeable individuals who were interviewed and quoted for the article by Christine Umbrell, O&P Almanac’s editorial/production associate.

In an effort to shed light on the increasingly important relationship between prosthetists, physical therapists, and other recovery-oriented specialists, Ms. Umbrell talked with experts from a wide variety of fields and facilities to learn why this growing emphasis on a multidisciplinary approach is so beneficial not only to us as healthcare providers, but to our valued patients, as well!

Our Silver Spring facility, where Ian services dozens of our Maryland-based customers, was one of many locations spotlighted, and that’s thanks to our recent partnership with the skilled PTs working at Rockville’s Adventist Rehabilitation Hospital.
