Amputation Level

Amputation level is a medical term that describes the exact place where a body part should/will be amputated. This amputation level is carefully determined by a doctor and his or her team through extensive testing, and it is one of the most critical considerations that take place before the amputation procedure can begin. Once the proper level of the amputation is determined, it then becomes the surgeon’s goal to find that perfect part of the body where healing is most likely to be complete while still retaining the maximum amount of the affected limb.
