In 2014, Christopher Cross was doing something he loved, riding his motorcycle, then his life changed forever. A devastating accident resulted in the loss of his right arm. But instead of letting that moment define him, Christopher began a new chapter — an upper limb prosthetic journey marked by strength, purpose, and the will to move forward.
Today, Christopher is taking a major step forward at MCOP’s Greenville clinic. He is working closely with his prosthetist, Sean Wooldridge, to prepare for his first prosthetic fitting. While he has not received the arm just yet, his determination and optimism are already making an impact on everyone around him. One of Christopher’s goals is to use his new arm to help him doing something he truly loves – fixing and repairing cars!
At Medical Center Orthotics and Prosthetics, we provide expert care and advanced solutions for individuals on their upper limb prosthetic journey. Our experienced clinicians design prosthetic arms that are both functional and personalized to each person’s daily needs. Whether using body powered systems or myoelectric technology, we ensure every device is built with the future in mind. Learn more about our upper extremity prosthetics.
For Christopher, that means developing a prosthesis that supports his passion for working on vehicles and allows him to get back to doing what he loves most.
Christopher’s journey is a powerful reminder that recovery is not just about adapting to change — it is about rediscovering what drives you. In our latest video, he shares his personal story, his goals, and a message of encouragement for others facing similar challenges.
We are proud to support Christopher and look forward to sharing more as he takes the next step toward independence with his new prosthetic arm.
