Sean Wooldridge is a certified prosthetist-orthotist currently helping clients at MCOP’s Washington, DC clinic. He often works with our prosthetist, Roger, to evaluate, treat, and fit a variety of transfemoral, transtibial, and upper-extremity prosthetics for our customers. As if that weren’t enough, Sean also specializes in knee-ankle-foot orthoses, ankle-foot orthoses, spinal orthoses, and upper-extremity orthoses, as well. Needless to say, his skills come in pretty handy around the DC office!
Born and raised in Clifton, New York, Sean knew from an early age that he wanted to help people in some sort of rehabilitative capacity, though his exact path wasn’t made clear until he spent a day shadowing a prosthetist friend of the family. After spending this day on the job, watching and learning all the intricacies that go along with prosthetic and orthotic work, Sean knew that this was the rehabilitative specialty best suited to his skills and interests.
Sean received his BA in Health Science from Gettysburg College before receiving a Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Hartford. After finishing school, Sean was drawn to MCOP for several reasons, including his desire to find exciting work in a new city and the fact that he considers MCOP to be at the forefront of the O&P technology that he finds so fascinating.
