Adam Huff

Certified Prosthetist

Adam is a dedicated professional in the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics, with a strong educational background and a passion for patient-centered care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Exercise Science with a concentration in Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. Upon graduating, Adam gained valuable hands-on experience by shadowing Prosthetic and Orthotic practices in the Northern Virginia region, ultimately solidifying his decision to pursue a career in this field.

Adam then pursued a master’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Pittsburgh, where he further honed his expertise. During his time in Pittsburgh, he contributed to groundbreaking wheelchair research at the Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL). His exceptional academic and research contributions earned him the prestigious Edwin & Kathryn Arbogast Award for his capstone research, Validating Apple Watch Pulse Oximetry Data in Lower Limb Amputees. He presented his research at the American Orthotics & Prosthetics Association National Assembly in San Antonio, Texas, receiving recognition for his innovative work.

Following graduation, Adam embarked on his Prosthetic residency in Fresno, California, before transferring to Medical Center Orthotics and Prosthetics (MCOP), where he completed his combined residency. At MCOP, Adam sharpened his clinical skills through a comprehensive program that included both on-site fabrication and exposure to diverse patient populations, fostering a well-rounded learning experience.

Now a certified prosthetist, Adam continues to build on his experience and training as he delivers expert care to his patients. He is based at our Fairfax location, where he is committed to creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Outside of his professional life, Adam enjoys experimenting with his manual espresso machine, staying active with various outdoor activities, and working out. He is also a dedicated baker and cook, constantly seeking out new recipes to explore. His commitment to personal growth and his love for connecting with others reflect his dedication to both his profession and his personal interests.
