Jon Jaskiewicz

Jon Jaskiewicz originally obtained his degree in Economics from the College of William and Mary before switching career paths to orthotics and prosthetics. After his wife was struck by an oncoming vehicle in 1987, she needed to utilize leg braces for some time during the healing process. This was Jon’s first exposure to the field. In the months following, Jon applied to Northeast Metro Technical College in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Here he obtained his degree in O&P. John is now certified under the American Board of Certification for both disciplines.

Jon subsequently began his new career in 1990 at Gillette Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Here he was exposed to a variety of patient conditions and pathologies which directed him to specialize in the discipline of orthotics. The skills and experience he attained at Gillette lead him to apply for the Head of Orthotics position at Orthotic Prosthetic Center (OPC) in Fairfax, Virginia. One which he has held for the past 15 years.

Today, Jon is our lead Orthotic Clinician at MCOP: Virginia. Working in both the Fairfax and Leesburg offices, Jon sees patients of all ages, aiding in restoring mobility and treating chronic conditions of the musculoskeletal system. He is a go-to resource for not only the orthotic treatment process, but also the proper fabrication of many of these devices.

Jon lives in Kensington, Maryland with his wife who is a physical therapist specializing in various neuropathic and pediatric disorders. The two of them will often consult each other on patients – working together to find the best treatment options. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his three daughters; going to the beach, gardening, or simply enjoying a good book.
